Windows 10 IoT Enterprise
Building on Windows’ decades of experience with embedded devices, Windows 10 IoT provides a complete platform for powerful, robust, thin client computing. Rather than having to integrate disparate security and cloud technologies from multiple vendors, Windows 10 IoT has built-in security features and Azure IoT integration.
Windows 10 compatibility
Windows 10 IoT is part of the Windows 10 family, the most secure Windows ever. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is a full version of Windows 10 that delivers enterprise manageability and security, to ensure that malware and cyber-attacks have little chance of success, protecting both thin clients and network devices.

Features
User experience
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise includes the traditional Windows Shell, with advanced lockdown features, including UWF, Shell Launcher, Boot Experience, and Custom Logon. The thin client device is locked down to a fixed set of applications through the Assigned Access or Shell Launcher features
Device security
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is designed to be secure – and includes TPM, Secure Boot, BitLocker, Device Guard, Defender ATP, and Device Health Attestation. Keyboards, USB ports and device policies are locked down to constrain the device to be used only for its defined purpose.
AAD and traditional domain
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise supports both Azure Active Directory and traditional domains, making it easy and secure to connect to LANs, WANs and cloud-based networks.
Better connected
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise uses industry standards to connect with other devices – everything from office printers to specialist hardware such as barcode scanners. Connecting and managing a device is no more complicated than any other Windows 10 device.
Unified Write Filter
Unified Write Filter (UWF) write protects files, folders or partitions to prevent corruption of data from sudden power loss and stops unauthorised modification of the system – once the user reboots the system, he or she is presented with a clean install.
Dialogue box and notification filter
Administrators can control which notifications users will see – and can provide automatic responses to dialogue boxes.
